Amp Help - Home Use
Good day everyone,
I’m in Canada with a budget of $500 CAD looking for an option for home use. I have a live rig in the H&K Tubemeister Deluxe 40 but for home use whwn I’m playing well before people wake up or after they goto bed even with the amp attenuated down it moves too much air.
I do not have a PC or laptop of any sort at this time with no plans to replace the computer in the near future so amp sims are out. I think I’m looking for something more like a desktop amp or a mini amp or some sort.
Ive tried the Yamaha THR before and liked the sound quality for the size of the unit but the dealbreaker for me was not being able to have foot switchable channels and this is where I run into issues. I have young kids and play in my basement so don’t really want to setup my pedal board and put it away anytime I just want to sit on the couch and play while watching TV or a movie I want something more plug and play, ideally with built in effects that can use small speakers for quiet play or over ear monitors.
My preference is not using an app but I’ll deal with it for the right option.
The two options I’m leaning towards at the moment are the Joyo Jam Buddy 2 or the PG headphones with their foot switch system.
I haven’t really kept up with much since the original Spark came out so I don’t know if I am missing anything or if I’m not seeing any options that may exist.
thanks for the help
