I miss aspects of how life used to be before everything became internet based and I want to reclaim some of it, so I’m primarily looking for snail mail penpals. I’m excited about having those slow building connections, and the magic of seeing letters dropping through the letterbox instead of just bills and unwanted flyers.
A little about me: I’m a gamer (love WoW and cosy gaming like Dreamlight Valley, Pokopia), I love crafts (crochet, art, painting and lots of other creative stuff), watching sport (Football, NFL, WWE), baking, music and watching films. I love collecting colourful pens, I love colour in general and I miss when the world was more colourful! I also love animals and have a dog (pug), a cat and a leopard gecko. I’m into puzzles and word games too.
Christmas is my favourite time of year and I absolutely live for everything Christmassy.😊 I do also enjoy the spooky season too though – can’t get enough pumpkin spiced lattes!
I’m looking for penpalling to be something fun and positive. I want people who are kind, curious and genuine. I want to get to know you, what makes you laugh, what you're currently obsessed with, your weird little habits, the things you're looking forward to, your home, your culture, your hobbies, your opinions, your dreams and all the random nonsense in between. Tell me about your favourite music or games, the ridiculous thing that happened at work, the TV show you're obsessed with, your latest craft disaster, the pointless opinion you will defend for all eternity, your favourite useless facts, your favourite childhood memories.
I am in a long-term happy relationship so I am looking for platonic penpal friendships only. If things get even slightly weird in that regard I will simply stop replying so if you’re looking for more than a friendship, I’m not the connection for you. I don’t have kids, and I’m happy to penpal with people who do – however I’d love my penpal friendships to be a space where we get to know each other as individuals. So if you’re looking for your children to be a big focus in your letters, or for someone to share lots of parenting stories with, I’m probably not the ideal penpal for you either. Finally, although I’m absolutely happy to hear about the ups and downs of life, I’m looking for penpalling to be primarily a positive and uplifting experience, so I’m also not the right person if you’re looking for somewhere to regularly vent or process difficult personal circumstances. I’d prefer our letters to be about a mixture of things rather than predominantly focused on health issues, disabilities, family difficulties or other heavy subjects.
Age-wise I’m pretty relaxed as long as you’re an adult, I’m much more interested in whether we actually click than in what year you were born. So if you feel like we’d get on well and would enjoy good conversation, friendship and laughter, please reach out via DM initially!
