Retrotink 4K CE w/ HD CRT (30HS420)
Recently made a post regarding connecting my 5x Pro to a 30HS420. Long story short, only 720p or higher output works via HDMI.
With that being said, it seems that the internal scaler adds a frame of lag that I can somewhat tell is there when playing in my Switch 2 or 5X Pro. I hear using the 1080i output is the solution with HDPT turned to 0 bypasses the lag but my 5X Pro does not have that setting. I’m thinking this is a Retrotink 4K exclusive feature which is unfortunate, but I am willing to invest in it if it helps with the switch 2 as well, as that only does 720p and not 1080i.
Has anyone used the Retrotink 4K (pro or CE) on an HD CRT? And if so, how does it feel using it with modern consoles to downscale to 1080i? I don’t see much info on this so any input is much appreciated!
