My grandparents ended up owning my uncle’s Ford Escort RS Cosworth for the rest of its life because, apparently in the ’90s, the insurance was ridiculously expensive for him at his age but dirt cheap for them.

My uncle always said it looked hilarious because most people probably expected some young boy racer behind the wheel, completely unaware it was actually my grandma casually pootling along on a 20-minute drive to her knitting club and Friday café meetup, or my grandad just driving it slowly and using it for everyday errands and them travelling up to Scotland each year to see family.
