ELI5: The Earth spins at over 1,000 miles per hour. Why don’t we all fly off into space or at least feel like we’re on a really aggressive merry-go-round?

It’s moving incredibly fast, we’re all stuck to it, and yet everything feels completely still. How does that actually work?
