Passed today 2nd attempt
Thank goodness that’s over with. Felt good overall but still had some tough questions throughout the middle. Take it slow and review! Ken’s brutal exams were great supplements to Stc.

Hi all. I posted a couple weeks ago regarding progress on the second attempt studying using STC. I finished out reading the entire book again, doing the online lectures, flash cards , quizzes and exams. My firm supplied me with additional greenlight exams and 4 supplemental final exams that contained all new questions.
For reference, I failed with 70 my first time. my scoring section breakdown was:
Economic factors and business information 5/8
Investment vehicle characteristics 15/17
Client investment recommendations and strategies 21/30
Laws, regulations, and guidelines 29/45
My rundown of the scoring on these exams is now complete as follows:
Final exam 1: 79%; previous score 62%
Final exam 2: 82%; previous score 72%
Supplemental exam 1: 87%
Final exam 3: 86%; previous score 68%
Supplemental exam 2: 83%
Final exam 4: 78%; previous score 68%
Final exam 5: 81%; previous score 61%
Greenlight 1: 82%; previous score 77%
Final exam 6: 84%: previous score 59%
Supplemental exam 3: 84%
Final Exam 7: 86%; previous score 70%
Final exam 8: 85%; previous score 80%
Final exam 9: 82%; previous score 68%
Greenlight 2: 89%; previous score 72%
Supplemental exam 4: 86%
Final exam 10: 86%; previous score 74%
Final exam 11: 83%; previous score 72%
I know the scores seem good and a lot of people would take this as solid improvement but I’m kinda in my head about the pressure of passing tomorrow. Idk if my firm will tolerate a second failure and I’m worried that maybe STC isn’t as hard as how the wording and concepts will be tested for application on the real exam. I’ve watch the brutal exam videos on YouTube and felt real solid on those. I think I also tend to not trust my test taking skills which is probably what’s messing with me the most. Idk. Just looking for some words of encouragement and feedback on anyone else’s experience using STC and retesting. Any tips on test taking anxiety management and skills to slow down and capture the nuance of the wording is much appreciated!! Thanks all!!
Hi all, I’ve passed my sie and series 7 on the first try using STC, but I missed my first attempt at the 66 by 3 questions.
I’m using stc still for the second go around and they have given me 4 new supplemental final exams and I’ve retaken my test practice final exams and greenlight exams. My scores are as follows:
Final exam 1: 79%; previous score 62%
Final exam 2: 82%; previous score 72%
Supplemental exam 1: 87%
Final exam 3: 86%; previous score 68%
Supplemental exam 2: 83%
Final exam 4: 78%; previous score 68%
Final exam 5: 81%; previous score 61%
Greenlight 1: 82%; previous score 77%
Final exam 6: 84%: previous score 59%
Supplemental exam 3: 84%
Anyone who has used STC and passed the 66, does this trend well for real exam? I felt like I understood the material enough the first time but really got thrown by some of the questions. My worst sections from the real exam were client investment recommendations and strategies, and laws, regulations, and guidelines.
Any other resources to hone in on these topics is greatly appreciated! Thank you!
