I am type 2 diabetic , last year I controlled my diabetes enough that for a short while I was off metformin but what happened is I had horrible periods for 3 month straight , pre menopause they said and doctor also said it might be because of leaving metformin . I started taking metformin and I have regular period since then . I never knew this could affect period so much . I am scared to leave metformin now . Did anybody had same thing ?
