I Got Mollywhopped So Hard I Need Help
Hi guys.
Last session, my character, a level 7 Oath of Redemption Paladin, got:
1- Hit by a 50 perma-dmg attack from a divine dagger;
2- His arm cut off by the BBEG (First appearance btw);
3- Lost his connection to his Goddess to undo number 1;
4- Traumatized beyond the nine hells for seeing his whole kingdom turn into a battleground for 4 factions at once.
Now, I'm not mad at any of this. It was an amazing story moment for everyone, and it all made a lot of sense narratively. I came here to ask for help with a few things about mechanics and all. Me and my DM have been discussing how all of these pretty big changes will be added mechanically into gameplay.
So, basically, if anyone has any ideas or past experiences on how characters who lost arms played and/or paladins who were severed from their god, and don't have access to their paladin powers anymore, pls tell me how you did it. I'm just looking for ideas on what I could do for all of this.
