Duisburg ABH Residence Permit Transition – Timeline & Work Authorization Experience?
Had an appointment recently at the Duisburg ABH regarding a residence permit transition and wanted to know if others had similar experiences.
The appointment itself went smoothly — documents checked, fingerprints taken, digital signature done, and I received the PIN letter for the eAT card. They mentioned the case still needs internal review/validation before final approval.
One point discussed was that I currently have a Visa with limited working hours, while my company needs me full-time. The officer said they may issue some kind of temporary approval after review. My current visa is still valid for several more months, so they said there is no immediate issue with my stay.
Has anyone in Duisburg ABH gone through a similar process? How long did it take for you to hear back, especially regarding full-time work authorization?
