Fake Foil MH2 Solitude..?
Okay, this is the most confounding card I’ve put under scrutiny since I started meticulously testing every card I get through my little jewelers loupe. I got this Foil MH2 Solitude from a highly rated vendor on TCGP (which I have found doesn’t preclude someone from accidentally selling a fake obviously), but it has the most INSANELY ODD foiling I’ve ever seen on the front of a card that could be assumed to be authentic ever. It’s hard to tell in the pictures, but it has this weird “dot pattern” foiling that makes the whole thing look very muted and matte, and the whole card itself has this intense matte finish on the front. I know there are several different production sites for MTG which can lead to some pretty wide variance, but this is really throwing me off. I took a bunch of magnified pics of the front and back, as well as a couple to compare at least the front to my authentic foil solitude, and would REALLY appreciate everyone’s opinion on this so I can either return it or move on laughing at Wizards print quality post-2020 lol
