Major opportunity?

I’m currently stuck in a dilemma that could end up being a huge opportunity for my family and I. We are looking for a forever home and both are in agreement on what we want, but we are torn on how to do it. My fiancé has owned our home since before we met, and she does not owe much on it (about $20k). She is desperate to move due to family issues, but I have to make the purchase since I want to use my VA home loan (which I am of course totally fine with). We have come up with a plan that involves me buying our house we already live in from her so that we can put all the profit toward paying off our debt and being able to buy an even better house than we would qualify for now in about a year or so. However due to those family issues that have arose she is in an almost delirious frenzy about moving somewhere else ASAP.

So now we are stuck here, where I feel as though it would be stupid to waste our time and money moving to another temporary house due to some petty family problem. As the title stated I feel as though we have a great opportunity to get ahead financially that we won’t ever have again. I want to maker her happy but I’d really rather not waste this opportunity. Am I right or would it really matter if we did it her way? Please let me know if anyone has any advice or experience in a similar home buying situation.
