Fresher with 65-Lakh Loan for MSc Computer Science at Southampton—Is the UK tech market realistic right now?

Hey everyone,I am an international student from India with a completed 4-year Bachelor’s in Computer Science and Engineering, but zero full-time corporate IT experience.I hold an active CAS for an MSc Computer Science track at the University of Southampton starting this September [finance]. However, to fund this, my family will have to take on a massive ₹65 Lakh (approx. £50k) student loan liability.

I am incredibly stressed about the current ground reality in the UK tech market. I've been seeing continuous posts about hiring freezes, massive competition for entry-level roles, and tech companies completely filtering out CVs if you require Tier-2 visa sponsorship down the line.

For those currently working in UK tech, or on their 2-year Post-Study Work (PSW) visa right now:

Is it realistic for a complete fresher with zero full-time experience to land a sponsored AI/Software engineering role in this market?

Is a regional tech hub like Southampton giving any realistic localized hiring advantages, or is everyone just bottlenecked in the frozen London market?

I am simultaneously waiting on a public university admission update from Germany (which is tuition-free)Given the massive financial risk, is it wiser to wait it out for Germany or go ahead with the UK?

Can a UK University withdraw an issued CAS after a £2,000 deposit is paid?

Hey everyone,I am an international student from India holding an official, active CAS from a top UK university for a Master's program. My course induction starts on September 14, 2026. I have already paid my £2,000 enrollment deposit to secure my seat.

My study abroad agent is heavily pressuring me to lodge my visa application immediately, claiming that because it is peak season and the induction date is approaching, the university can arbitrarily choose to withdraw my CAS if I don't use it within a week.

I am currently waiting on a public university admission update from Germany, so I want to wait a few more days before spending lakhs on the UK visa fees and health surcharge.

Can a university actually cancel a valid CAS just because an applicant waits a couple of weeks to apply, even though the deposit is paid and there are still 4 weeks left until induction starts? Or is my agent just trying to scare me into locking in his commission?

Any insights on official UKVI policy would be amazing. Thanks!
