BMT Packing List (Female)
I am shipping out on Tuesday and wanted to share my packing list for BMT!
I’ve done a good amount of research on reddit as well as other air force websites, anecdotal experience from family/friends who have graduated, recruiters, etc.
Let me know what you think of my list and if i’m missing anything. I think the only thing I may have gone overboard on is the clothes- although it seems that most would agree with the amount of underwear/sport bras.
Not sure where i read about the 6 plastic bags, so it may be overkill…
I bought a large duffel bag (carry on size) on amazon and it is 1/4 empty after packing in all my stuff.
-> make sure to have your important documents folder and chargers/battery powered objects such as electric toothbrushes in an accessible pocket as you will need to take them out at MEPs!!!
edit: CORRECTION TO THE LIST— do NOT bring mousse as it is considered an aerosol. I am brining a wax stick instead and going to buy hair gel at the BX since I couldn’t find anything travel sized.
You will also get a shampoo/conditioner/body wash from MTI, bring your own if you need a preference. I believe they give you a head and shoulders dupe for shampoo (maybe shampoo conditioner combo) and then a generic body wash. They will also provide shower shoes so don’t bring your own it’s a waste of space.
