Hey guys I've got a 1984 Romy RPK I'm gathering the final parts for to build. My question is this, did the Romanians ever put optics side rails on 7.62x39mm MD64 RPKs? I think it would be cool to run a surplus optic on this but I'm using a Childers S/N matched receiver so I'm definitely not receiver swapping this thing if I change my mind and want to rail delete it later. What would you guys do? For more information this is a EXPORT rifle that does not have Cugir marks on it. Thanks in advance guys!

Hey guys I had a friend who had a WASR10 that was stolen out of his car. Almost 10 years later the police call and tell him they found it in a ditch in Florida. Naturally he thinks the barrel might be fubar. So he picked up this barrel shown in the pic at a gunshow for I think $40. Once he received the rifle back to our surprise there was ZERO rust anywhere. Long story short now I have this unneeded by him barrel. Is welding the barrel pin notch to re-drill it stechy or fine? How are surplus pulled barrels typically headspaced? Thanks in advance guys!
