▲ 5 r/Nurses

I found my dream RN job as a sub school nurse about 3-years ago. Loved the flexible hours (usually worked around 21-36/week) and absolutely loved helping the kids and their families.

District is majorly in the red and cutting most nurses. I’m not sure I even want to work there FT if the proposal to cover multiple schools is even safe for my license.

I feel like I’ve been out of “real nursing” too long to even know what my skills translate to… and I seriously don’t want to go back to hospital or most clinics. Prior I have a hodgepodge of ER/UC and neuro tele.

Any suggestions??? I’m ok w lower pay and only want to work part time. I’m lucky to have a spouse that provides most of our financial needs.

I’m so heartbroken and just have no motivation to even look for something new.
