SQE Route
Hi Chat,
Just wanted some advice.
I graduated from university with an first class in law and as I did not have any legal role lined up at the time, I decided to just go on a gap year, return back to my retail part time job to build funds in case I wanted to self-fund the SQE September 2026.
I have been applying to legal roles although they have not been as consistent as I would have hoped. I did get into 1 assessment centre for a vacation scheme, but did not get through. I do plan to now target any paralegal/ legal assistant role as possible between now and September.
If I do go onto the SQE September (self-fund) I’m not sure if I should go back to my university full time since they now do a SQE course or do the SQE part time with a course like Barbri while still working a part time weekend job and applying to legal roles.
Not quite sure what to do anymore and starting to feel lost. Any advice or guidance would be helpful please :)
