Amazing Japan Ski Holiday - Japan Powder Culture Tours
I did the Snowboard Buffet trip with Japan Powder Culture Tours this January and had an unreal time. I’ve ridden in Japan before but never done a fully guided week, and it honestly made the whole trip way easier and way more fun.
I’m a snowboarder, and the guides were great at picking terrain that actually works for boards, not just “follow the skiers and hope for the best.” We bounced around different resorts in Nagano depending on weather and snow, and somehow they kept finding fresh lines even on days that didn’t look promising.
The whole thing was super well organised. Each morning they had a plan sorted, handled all the transport, and kept the vibe relaxed but efficient. Some days were mellow tree laps, some days were proper powder feasts, and a couple of days we got those long, dreamy runs Japan is famous for.
The lodge and the cultural side of the trip were a big bonus too — good food, onsens every night, and just a nice crew of people to hang out with after riding.
If anyone’s thinking about a guided trip in Japan and wants something snowboard‑friendly and well run, I’d definitely recommend these guys. I’m already trying to figure out how to get back there next season.
