Looking for answers here as I’m reaching a point of desperation. My partner and I recently moved into an apartment built in the summer of 2025. She is complaining that the chemical smell of VOCS/Off Gassing/ Formeldahyde is causing her to have runny nose, headaches, inability to sleep. I don’t have a strong nose and I smelt it at first when moving in and thought oh it’s just a new apartment smell along with fresh paint but since it has not bothered me.

We have tried airing out the apartment - windows up for 2 days off and on and we have been here for about a month now. Are there any other solutions that someone has found to fix this issue? I’m at a loss on what to do and she doesn’t think she can keep putting up with it.
