Two questions I have about Nixon after finishing the series for the first time:

1. Nixon says that he never fired his gun in combat. How can that be the case? He was on the frontlines, no? Did other people look at him as a coward because of this?

2. In one of the latter episodes, Nixon is drinking after a drop earlier that morning drop in which he was his plane's only survivor. I was under the impression that Airborne dropped deep into enemy territory, so how did he just show up back at base later by nightfall?

I'm getting a new road bike and am trying to find a creative way to honor my old one.

I have a sentimental attachment to my current bike. I've taken it on multiple cross-country trips and have had it for nearly 20 years. At this point, replacing all the strained and broken parts are nearly as expensive as getting a new bike.

I don't just want to trash my ride, so I'm trying to find a creative way to use the frame or honor it in some way. (See attached for an example with an oar.) Any ideas?
