Got a new stl about 3 months ago. Glowing reviews from many tms that worked with him before. One person however confided that he plays favorites especially with women. Big suprise, i know this is fairly common esp in retail. I was just going to be fair and see how our direct interactions go. I rarely interact with him, but when i haveHis personality is fine, a bit bland and a bit try hard, but hes new, so...I granted him a little leeway there. When i have said i am still forming an opinion on him, most coworkers are shocked. They love him. His old store cried when he left (i still cant belive this)
I have a few friends who have been denied getting hours. This is not even OT, just a few extra hours. The store dosent have the labor leadership says. OK ok they get it.
HOWEVER I noticed someone coming in multiple times a week to my store. I got nosey and started asking questions. She is a ft employee at his previous store. This is straight overtime for her, its not like shes splitting her time at both stores. The new STLs reason is that she is getting married in a few months so he wanted to help out a friend so she can make some money for the wedding.
She comes in to face grocery, maybe jump on a register. She is absolutely not doing any kind of specialized work in the perishable teams, or stepping in for an absent atl or tl. She just comes in to clean. This is exactly the type of things that dont require special training to do for the cs/grocery tms looking for hours. Am I crazy for thinking this wild for doing this 3 months in?
