I completed week 1 and just did my first week 2 run but I’m losing motivation.

So, I think the pain is subsiding more now, but I’m really struggling to get my breathing under control and I’m also barely jogging at a 12min/km pace. Honestly just need to know other people’s experiences, is it normal to start super slow, will that and breathing get easier as I carry on?
