I built out YouInMeme, a free face-swap meme app on iOS and Android. Sharing this here because this sub is the best "what are people actually building" feed.

The idea: make the funniest memes even funnier by putting you or your friends in them without all of the hassle. I wanted that to be a 10-second thing instead of a Photoshop session.

What it does:

• Selfie to face-swap into any meme template or GIF
• Library of trending memes, or drop your own in
• Save to camera roll, share anywhere

Where I am: still very early days. About 100 users, mostly my own family and friends group chats. Trying to figure out if the wedge ("personalized memes hit harder") actually generalizes outside my bubble.

Built solo over 3 months with a couple hours here and there everyday after work — happy to talk stack / decisions in the comments if anyone's curious.

Genuinely curious about:

• Does the use case make sense?
• Meme/GIF templates you wish were in there
• Anything obviously broken or confusing

I’ve been quietly terrorizing my friends group texts with these for weeks. Someone finally asked how I was making them so I figured I’d share.
