Intel health info required for Step 1 ! HELP
I created an EPIC account in 2023 for PLAB and already paid for primary-source verification of my MBBS degree and house job certificate. Those verified documents were sent from EPIC to ECFMG at that time, and now ECFMG has transitioned to Intealth.
I’m planning to apply for USMLE Step 1 now. I know my transcript still needs verification, but I’m confused about whether I need to repeat the whole EPIC verification process and pay all the fees again, even though my degree was already verified previously.
Do I need to create a new Intealth account separately? Will my old EPIC/ECFMG data automatically transfer? And will I have to repay verification fees for documents that were already verified in 2023?
Also, I’m planning to take Step 1 around January and want an eligibility period of Dec–Jan–Feb. When should I ideally begin the application process considering the costs, document verification time, and scheduling?
