Iam in 2014 when everybody knows that Paige is Laurens and Brad daughter. This story was really huge at that time. Now also watching 1993 where Brad and Beths wedding didnt take place the first time because of Lauren is also interesting to compare that story .

First of all Iam sorry for Beth that the wedding who will take place a few months later didt work out long off screen. When I compare the characters of Beth and Lauren who very very down to earth and natural its hard to understand that Brad would leave Beth for a business bossy woman like Terese. I mean maybe she had another personality back then as a teenager/twen but I think they dont fit together. I didnt like Brad anyway but i thinks the 2nd Brad and 2nd Lauren have great chemistry and also are better actors for sure.

And theres something about Terese that I dont like. Normally I really loved strong female characters on neighbours like Madge, Dorothy, sometimes Julie etc...but I dont get that sympathy for Terese. There is something about her that I dont like. I know its a difficult situation for her to learn that her husband has a daughter with her eighbour Lauren but the way she wants to take control over the situation makes her unlikeable to me. Besides that sshe puts people into their place and judges while it is okay for her to infear and manipulate situations and she is defending that.

I know that she will stay til the end and I think her personality fits more to a man like Paul. Does she change a bit or is that her character til the very end?

as english is not my mother tongue I didnt understand everything they discussed after the off screen funeral... who was there? I think they mentioned Lucy and Paul, so Scott was missing?#

and then they discussed the testament. what did Paul, Scott,Lucy got what Julie didn't? and they mentioned Dorothy int eh testament as well. What did she got? Can somebody explain it to me? thx

for me...

1. Daphne. I was shocked when I wtached her death as a kid. Young mother, beloved neighbour that need to have a long happy life
2. Kerry. The same arguments that I gave to daphne
3. Madge- she could have a break instead of dying..Maybe she got informed that Charlene or Henry had a serios accident and need support for a while til they recovered...then she decided to stay and leave Harold just to come back after some years to ask Harold for forgiveness and they reunite again.

I forgot Sonya because Iam in 2014 and she is still alive there . But yeah I would save all 3 young mothers!

Its reallly a nice suprise that I watch these episodes parallel (1993 and 2014) as it fits to the Lauren and Brad story and it was really by accident. Iam now in 2014 when it came out that Lauren has a lost daughter with Brad. Also Doug and later Pam come to surprise visit and Pam remembers Doug with his affair with Jill.

I started watching neighbours besides the classic episodes from the first episode of 2011. Now iam in 2014 to see Kates sad ending.

When I started the 2011 episodes the first thing I noticed was how beautiful she looked and she seemed so down to earth and nice. Just a few episodes later I relaised how complicated she was as a character. Interferring in Sophies life, judging people, give them advices though she made the sames mistakes. At that time she was with Mark but he left just a few months later.

What happened next was terrible to see as Kate didnt develop good. No balance in working or lovelife. She worked in school, than in the coffee shop, then Charlies, then back to school.

After Mark she interfered in Jade/kyles relationship, than had this unbelievable relationship with Mason, just to make things messy again with Kyle and Georgia.

In the end Mark came back and she could live happily. Though Iam gay and like to see sexy Mark around I wish she would have left with Mark in first place or with the guy that she met on her vacation trip in 2012 where she was far away to things messy on Ramsay street.

Did the actress said anything negative on her character development? must be frustrating to make the same mistakes over and over again...

in 1992,93,or 94 after at least 8-10 seasonshow would it have ended? I mean if producers made it clear to the cast they wont go any further and the will end up production.

I think than Stefan Dennis, Anne Charleston and maybe Alan Dale would havve agreed to stay in the end or come back for final episodes.

Maybe a major death but also a happy wedding to conclude the series. Madge and Harold reunite for instance just before the finale and marry again. For that wedding Scott ,Charlene with baby Daniel and bronwyn/henry show up. Kerry appears as a ghost. Joe,Mel, Sky, Tobi and Dorothy return.

Paul comes back and we learn that he and Chrissi split up. Gail is in town with the 3kids and they reunite for good.

Luy also show up but Julie is dead indeed. She was the major death before the finale. The Willis family never left and the Kennedys appear in the finale for the first time to take over Madge and Harlods house as they leave for good.

of fru fru from Zootopia....and I dont mean it as a bad thing. I find her cute and the nose and hair suits perfect to sheila.

While I enjoy the cast and storylines from 1985-1988, things changed with beginning of the 90s. I didnt like the new characters much, except of Dorothy, but not in the beginning. she gave joe& Kerry a hard time but always admitted her own mistakes and wrong behaviour. In 1992 she easily is the best character, so supportive to Tobi and Phoebe. And then all her comedy feuds with Madge. I guess she will have that with Julie too in the 2ns half of 1992. Sad she left in 1993 just after Madge and before Jim, and never came back.

this was the 3rd main character death. While Daphnes funeral was off screen, Kerrys funeral only involved a small cast. Todds funeral was the first with almost the hole current cast, despite that key characters were missing. Lucy just left one week earlier, so there should be no problem to bring the actress back. Same maybe with Josh who was Todds best friend who left 3 months before. Then we had Cody and Melissa, at least Cody could have visit as her family was still on Ramsay street. Family wise it didnt make sense that Todds Sister Katie didn*t arrive. They could bring a new actress to play her. Also boring Beth should have visit.
