Hey everyone,
As the title suggests, I’ve got what I genuinely believe is a strong game concept with real IP potential, a small indie game already built, and a talented team of 6 industry professionals behind it.
To get a good vibe for the brand, explore the pics and links. The concept and infra is in place and ready to cook.
The problem? We’ve hit the wall financially.
Right now, everyone on the team has full-time jobs, so development has been completely bootstrapped through passion, late nights, and weekends. We’ve managed to get a solid foundation in place, but we’ve now run out of runway to keep pushing forward without funding.
We’re at that awkward stage where the vision is real, the team is real, and the product is real—but without investment, progress slows to a crawl.
I’m looking for advice from anyone who has been through this:
- How did you find your first VC / angel investor?
- Are there better routes for indie studios at this stage?
- What should we prepare before approaching investors?
- Any communities, platforms, or contacts worth exploring?
Not looking for handouts.. just guidance, connections, or honest advice from people who’ve navigated this before.
Would really appreciate any help.
Thanks!
