Would you go to a Halloween wedding social in 2026?
Hey Winnipeg,
My partner and I are planning a Halloween‑themed wedding social for2026 and I’m curious how much interest there would actually be before we lock everything in. I’ve seen a lot of mixed opinions on socials here and in other threads, so I’d love some honest feedback.
Tentative details:
- What: Halloween Wedding Social (costumes encouraged, but not required)
- When: Saturday, November 7, 2026 (Saturday after Halloween)
- What you’d get: DJ + dancing, cheap bar, late‑night food, big raffle table/50‑50, and a costume contest (Best Overall / Funniest / Scariest / Best Couple or Group) with prizes
I’m mainly wondering:
- Would you personally consider going to something like this at that time of year?
- Does $15 feel fair for that type of night in a community centre, or would $10 make more sense to you?
- Do Halloween socials still sound fun, or are people over that theme?
Not trying to sell tickets here yet, just trying to get a feel for what people in Winnipeg actually think about a $15 Halloween social in Winnipeg on a Saturday night in early November.
Any thoughts (good, bad, or brutally honest) are appreciated!
