After months of fasting, I built the app I wish existed when I started

I got weirdly obsessed with fasting science last year.

Started with 16:8. Then longer fasts. Then I went down the rabbit hole of autophagy, ketosis, insulin sensitivity, circadian rhythm stuff, hydration, electrolytes etc.

One thing kept bothering me though:

Every fasting app I tried basically felt like:
“timer started”

“timer finished”

That’s it.

Meanwhile I’m 18 hours into a fast Googling:
“am I actually in ketosis or just hungry and dehydrated?” 😂

So I ended up building my own app called FastFlow.

The main thing I wanted was a live metabolic timeline that shows what’s probably happening in your body during the fast instead of just showing elapsed hours.

So now it tracks phases like:

  • blood sugar drop
  • fat burning
  • ketosis
  • autophagy estimates

…and explains the science behind each stage in normal language.

A couple other things I added because I personally needed them:

  • hydration + electrolyte tracking
  • fasting quality score
  • AI meal analyzer (“does this break my fast?”)
  • Lock Screen widgets
  • anonymous fasting community
  • different fasting protocols built in

No ads. No login wall. Just wanted something cleaner and more useful than the usual fasting timers.

Would genuinely love feedback from people who fast regularly because I’m still actively improving it.

iPhone only right now:
