I'm currently torn between two gyms and really need some advice.
There's a gym right next to my house that uses Technogym equipment. It’s about $20/month more expensive than my other option, and I’ve heard some pretty bad things about Technogym’s biomechanics not being great for serious lifting. On the other hand, the convenience of being able to just walk there is huge.
The second gym is a bit of a trek it's 30 minutes from my house and 20 minutes from school. However, it’s decked out with Nautilus machines, which I’ve heard are top-tier and way better than Technogym. While the membership itself is $20 cheaper, when I factor in the travel time and transportation costs for the whole year, the price for both gyms ends up being almost the same.
Is the "Nautilus experience" actually worth the 20-30 minute round trip commute almost every day? Or am I overthinking the equipment quality and should just go for the one next door?
