Transfer housing
I got into neu paying full as I do not qualify for aid. but my parents long story short didn't want me to go bc I got into a better ranked architecture program w a scholarship making its 75k and besides the program I don't rlly want to go so my parents guaranteed I can transfer if I don't like it.
so my question is how do I find roommates. I have heard transfers don't get housing. I know actually a few ppl that go to neu/bu/bc and while im sure they like me they also have there own friends that they are moving in w im sure and most are a grade above me.
I would need 1-3 (most likely 2) roommates willing to pay 1-2k a month for obvi 12 months (or however long the least is) which btw is literally the wayy better than the 15-18k in housing for a crappy dorm that is only open 8 months.
but ya idk if anyone wants to share how they found roommates as a transfer student.
I would be fall 2027 edit: this is technically hypothetical, just entertain the idea if I get in how do I make housing work.
