What was under my 6-year-old composite veneers was not a pleasant surprise, and waiting for my beautiful simle next week!
6 years ago I got composite veneers done at a beauty salon.
And the funny part is… they actually weren’t cheap at all back then. The price was pretty similar to what porcelain costs now.
Technology really changed fast.
At the time, composite veneers were marketed as the “minimally invasive” trendy option, so I thought I was making the smart choice.
Fast forward 6 years:
- cracks
- staining
- impossible-to-clean edges
- cavities hiding underneath like unwanted roommates
Today I finally had all the old composite removed before getting new porcelain veneers/crowns made.
But honestly, I already feel relieved knowing all the damaged material and decay are finally gone.
Now waiting for the ceramic restorations from the lab and hoping my future self makes slightly better life decisions 😂
