I played against better players today, and they argued that their serve was in when I said it was in the kitchen. My partner said he didn’t see it which I find a little odd…

The same thing happened again for our winning point when I asked my partner if one of their shots was out and he said he wasn’t sure again. (I did not call it out since my partner did not say anything about it.)

Do 3.5+ players usually know whether their shots are in or out?

I have been playing for about three months. I am paying someone to teach/drill with me every week. What are some things you think a beginner should focus on?

He is cheaper than the higher ranked coaches, but I think I can still learn/practice since the drills feel way better than drilling with someone else who is a beginner too.

Returning hard serves, drives, resets and fast hands are things I am trying to get better at. I am trying to learn how to anticipate shots better during games.
