I stumbled across something that might save a few people money before a road trip abroad.

Print it on 2 A4 sheets (front and back — the site walks you through the whole process), fold it down the middle, staple it, and you've got a proper 16-page IDP booklet. The QR code on the back page is live and scannable — it pulls up a verification page with your details.
Important context (please read before commenting):
- An IDP is legally just a translation of your existing driving license into multiple languages. That's all it is — even the ones AAA sells for $20.
- It is not valid without your original domestic license. You must carry both.
- This isn't AAA-backed. Whether a country accepts it depends on their local rules — same as any IDP.
- For most tourist driving in Europe, Southeast Asia, and similar destinations it works fine as a translation companion document.
