Hey guys, I’m planning on transferring and I’d be starting at 23, so I just wanted to get some honest insight.

For anyone who transferred a bit later (like 22–24), what was your experience socially? Was it easy to meet people, go out, and feel included in things like parties, football games, etc.?

I’m pretty outgoing and definitely want the full college experience, I just don’t want to feel out of place age-wise.

Would really appreciate any insight!

hello!! I’m planning on transferring to UCSB and I’d be starting around 24. I know most transfers are like 20–22, so I’m just wondering what the social scene is like for slightly older students.

Are there other people in that 23–26 range? Do transfers usually mix together more regardless of age? And do you still feel included in things like IV social life, parties, etc.?

I don’t mind being a bit older, I just don’t want to feel completely out of place. Would love honest opinions!

Hi! I’m considering transferring to Tulane and would be around 23 when I start, so I just wanted to get a sense of what that experience might be like socially.

I’d likely live off campus in an apartment, so I’m especially curious how easy it is for transfer students (a bit older) to meet people and have a social life.

I know 23 isn’t super old, but since Tulane is smaller, I wasn’t sure if it feels more noticeable or not.

Would love to hear from transfers or anyone with insight—thank you!
