Since I started working out (~one year ago) I keep experiencing the same problem with my biceps where after the first set my rep count drops A LOT. No matter what exercises, after the first set of say 12 to failure even after extensive rest the second set I get 6 max.

I only experience this with biceps as any other muscle (group) if I fail at 12 the next is still like 8-10.

But I have seen great progress in my bicep strength (rn 11 reps on 16kg s.a preacher from just 6kg for 12 at the start) but it's still weird to me
