Hey everyone,

I've reached a point where I want to record music and upload it to Youtube etc, I now have a CLP745 but I am very unhappy with how it performs in VSTs like Keyscape/Noire etc.

I will either be replacing my CLP745 with a Kawai CA901 or buy a pure MIDI controller like the Kawai VPC1. I see the VPC1 is already 10 years old but I can't find a better one anyway (as a pure MIDI controller).

Any advice on what I should do?

Hey everyone,

I've reached a point where I want to try and record my music and upload it to Youtube etc. Unfortunately I bought the CLP745 but I had no idea the midi output/velocity was so incredibly poor. It has a pretty low range, reaching low MIDI and high MIDI (anything above 110) is pretty much impossible.

I've spent weeks trying to get the best velocity curves in different VSTs. You can imagine how frustrated I am since I now end up owning Noire, Keyscape, Pianoteq and CFX Garritan. Does anybody have any experience with getting the velocity figured out with the CLP745?

Yes, I tried the Pianoteq built-in tool to figure out the curve that was also pretty not satisfactory.

Frustrating since everytime I have a pianolesson I am so excited to play on a real acoustic piano that actually responds to what I do...

Hope someone can help me!
