I am from the United States and I have not enjoyed much luck with PhD admissions. This cycle I'm thinking of applying to top universities in China. I already have a MS degree. I don't speak or understand one syllable or stroke of Mandarin.

Have any other US students started a program in China, and what advice do you have?
