Just wondering what people’s experiences have been when buying a house as part of a chain? Timelines and such.

Currently sale agreed ftb waiting on vendor to go sale agreed elsewhere. They were sale agreed with someone else from February to mid April - the buyer got impatient and found another place. Hopefully that makes me lucky… though I’ve had a sale fall through myself.

A number of weeks snake plant fell and most of it died. There’s an offshoot (not sure if that’s the right term) that survived.

I cut back the dead leaves as they had flopped over.

How do I help the surviving part thrive?

I’d like to repot and remove the dead part (unless it may grow back??? I am not green fingered, but to me it seems unlikely there’s any life in that)

If it will grow back please tell me, otherwise could someone advise on separating the dead part from the living?

It was thriving in neglect until it fell. It gets indirect light and I was watering it sparingly in winter, but about once a month for the warmer months. I got it in January 2025.

In your opinion, what would be a fair price for a box room rented out through the rent a room scheme, meaning they’d pay no bills on top of whatever price set.

My parents looking to do this but have no real idea what price to set. Not looking to take advantage of someone in desperate need of housing either.

Edit: In Edenmore so not a hugely sought after area.

Just got the survey done.

Essential recommendation that I engage with a roofing specialist in the short term to replace

the flat roof covering.

Would this be costly?

The area mentioned is 2.50x3.20 and is of tourch-on felt.
