I’m a postbacc working toward med school and considering different specialties. I know residency is a long way off, but I like critcare.

I’m wondering what people’s experiences with malpractice suits have been, though, since mistakes in the ICU seem more likely to yield severe consequences (not that mistakes in other specialties can’t).

I‘m also thinking about how many COVID deniers insisted that vents and ECMO were killing people.

Gross negligence aside, how are suits looked at in the field for hiring and credentialing? Are they common?

I've been on tirz since January 2025. One of the biggest changes that I've noticed (other than the weight loss) is that my hair seems to be growing much more slowly and it's significantly harder to gain length.

I spent a few months shedding like a dog in spring, but that has been done for a year or so now.

I'd like to grow it out longer, but it hits just below my collar bone and just...stops.

I'm late 30s, so part of this might be my friend peri coming to visit, too.

Any suggestions other than biotin? I'm hitting protein goals and making sure to supplement iron.
