While my mom was a patient at a Delaware hospital, we had a whole ordeal with a nurse tech, among other things. The nurse tech assigned to my mom’s room ignored her call bell for hours. When someone finally came in, this girl told my mom that she had been in to check on her hours ago. Gaslighting her. It was evident she hadn’t been in the room. Our family reported her. The next night, when she was not scheduled to work, said nurse tech came into my mom’s room, got inches from her face, and threatened my mom for saying something to her bosses. The nurse tech was in her coat when she confronted my mom. The next morning when family got there, the heat was turned all the way up in her room. We never left her alone in that hospital after that.

Upon hearing we reported nurse tech for confronting & retaliating against my mom, the tech came in, saying it couldn’t have been her since she wasn’t on the schedule that night. It was awful. The hospital has a whole song and dance, trying make us shut up and go away. But the 5th floor of that hospital was not safe for my mom. You can imagine the impact it caused mentally on my mom, and us.

Can anyone give us some guidance? I hate having this knowledge and not knowing who to take it to so wrongs can be righted. Who should I talk to?
