We’ve noticed that in some industrial wastewater systems, PAM consumption has become much less stable recently, especially in textile and paper wastewater applications.

A few possible reasons we’ve seen:

• unstable influent COD,
• temperature changes,
• higher suspended solids,
• or inconsistent sludge conditions.

In some cases, operators kept increasing dosage assuming the polymer quality had changed, but the real issue was actually upstream process fluctuation.

Curious whether others are seeing similar issues lately, especially in Southeast Asia.
