Sad news friends😢

Conway passed away last night peacefully in his sleep. Sweet boy had a touch of the MBD and was suffering with CHF. Congestive heart failure takes most adult male opossums. At a year and a half, Conway was right on time. Earlier I told my mentor it’s so unfair that they live short lives, but she reassured me that to them, it’s a complete and full life. She said maybe whales and tortoises pity humans for their “short” lives in comparison. That brought me a lot of comfort. We laid Conway to rest in the tall grasses, under the canopy of trees, next to a beautiful creek so he may become one with the earth again, somewhere he hasn’t been since he was an infant.
