Can't fully straighten playing arm - any experience/suggestions?
Had a couple of long-term issues over the years involving pain in the playing elbow, and pressing into the forearm & upper arm around the elbow remains painful.
Could also be affected by computer use etc of course, apart from swinging a racquet.
Didn't notice whether this arose after or before the issues appeared, but whereas the non-playing arm is fairly straight when resting, and completely straightens with a bit of effort, the playing arm is nowhere near straight. No clear reason why according to one or two scans (assuming they did the right scans), but:
(1) A chiropractor said it's just because of changes to the bone due to all the use in that arm
(2) A physio said that non-weight-bearing bones don't change to that extent, and that exercises to try to force the arm into a straighter position would eventually work. The pain above/below the elbow could be because the muscles etc are never in their natural extended position, because of the loss of articulation of the elbow
I'm inclined to believe (2) and dismiss (1). Anyone 'solved' a similar issue? Any recommendations of exercises that can straighten the arm?
