I’d really like a nice light fixture for our kitchen but since we don’t have central air a good fan is a MUST! Does anyone have any fans similar to these? Do they work very well or are they more for show? The second light/fan fixture I was thinking for my daughter’s room actually but again if the fan isn’t strong I’m not gonna get it. The last fan is what we have currently in my daughter’s room, dining room, and living room. I was considering just buying another for the kitchen but I thought maybe a nice light would help make the kitchen look nicer. But bottom line—appearance does not trump quality here! Thanks!

So we got butcher block for the counters and stained it. Then we used a sealing oil. Do you recommend this over polyurethane? I really wanted something to paint on that was going to be an actual barrier that like hardened. With how many spills we get with the kids and the cat I’m worried that the wood will get ruined. I also know that we may remember to do the treatment the first few months maybe but we’re not gonna remember all the time. My fiancés being unrealistic about this. “Well just have to” aka “ILL just have to” and I can be honest and say I know I won’t. What do you suggest?
