I’m a totaaaal beginner when it comes to cycling/gravel riding. This year, I bought my adventure buddy: a Surly bike

My goal is to ride from my home in Lausanne all the way to Ljubljana through Italy sometime in September

I already started training and riding more regularly.

I would really love some advices from more experienced riders:

• Which bikepacking bag brands would you recommend? I guess waterproof bags are kind of mandatory?
• Does a budget of around €100/day sounds realistic? I won’t camp, I’m mostly thinking about hostels/guesthouses.
• I would also really love to find a travel buddy because none of my friends are into this kind of adventure ( ;( ) How would you do to find someone for a trip like this?
