Surgery dosing!

On October 19th I am having a J tube placement surgery, and while I know I need to stress dose for it, I’m not exactly sure how to go about it. I plan on doubling my hydrocortisone dose starting this upcoming monday (I’m traveling for a concert, so my stress will already be high. I also have a few minor procedures next week). How do I go about taking a dose day of surgery? I have to be strictly npo for atleast 8 hours prior. I am new to all this addisons disease stuff, I developed it in late august due to sepsis damage. Thank you so much!

Passing out and night sweats with addisons

Does anyone else deal with passing out and have awful night sweats due to their addisons? Recently my endo changed my dosage of hydrocortisone from 20mg in the morning and 10mg at night to 30mg in the morning and then 10mg at like 3pm. Since changing the timing of my afternoon/evening dose, I’ve had multiple nights where I suddenly get lightheaded, nauseous, and break out into a cold sweat. My OG symptom of addisons was night sweats, and since this timing changed Ive also had night sweats so bad that I soak my clothes and blankets. Anyone have advice on what to do and/or why this could be happening?

J tube Buried Bumper

I had my J tube replaced friday due to extreme leakage at my stoma. On saturday, I developed buried bumper syndrome. Sunday my body naturally pushed the tube out my stoma with the balloon fully intact. The doctor wants to try and replace it again tomorrow but I’m concerned the same thing will happen, if not quicker this time because my stoma is dilated to the size of my balloon. If it happens again I have to have my J tube resited. Has anyone experienced this? Any advice?

How do you handle pet death?

I’m a local petsitter in my area. I’ve been watching longest client dog for 2 years, and I’m currently doing so now. Unfortunately, she’s extremely old, and has become very sick. This afternoon, it became very apparent that she doesn’t have much time left. In the last 12 hours she progressively got worse and worse, and has now lost her ability to walk and can’t sit herself up in the crate anymore.
The second she started having issues, I called her owners. They sent a family member to check on her, who confirmed what I’ve been seeing with her. I offered to take her to an emergency vet near by, but acknowledged to them that she would likely not return home if she went. They asked me to try and keep her comfortable for 4 more days until they can return to say goodbye.
The issue lies in the fact that she likely doesn’t have more than 24 hours left from what I can tell. I sat with her for an extended period of time tonight giving her pets, treats, and telling her how much her family loves her. As I’m writing this, I would not be shocked if she’s already passed away while I’ve been gone for the night.
How do I explain to her owners if she passes? What do I do in the case she does? Anyone have any experience with dealing with a situation like this? I appreciate any advice, I’m at a complete loss.
Update: She made it through the night, but is extremely sick and in a lot of pain. It hurts my heart so bad to see her like this!

GJ surgery advice?!

I (19F) am getting a GJ tube in the near future. Ive already had a surgery consult, and we are waiting for insurance to approve the surgery before scheduling. I currently have a NJ, but it flipped into an NG 5 days ago. My surgeon told me I should keep the NJ-now-NG so I can drain for symptom management, as I throw up almost everything I eat. Its not ideal, but I’m hoping I can stay outpatient until surgery.
Anyways, please tell me everything I need to know about GJ tubes? Any advice, post surgical experience, recovery time, etc! also, I’m really curious about foods that you have an easy time draining!
Thank you so much!
Editing to add that I’m having it placed laparoscopically rather than endoscopically
