OCS packing list clarification

I'm shipping out in a couple weeks and just going through to make sure I have everything on the most recent packing list I could find (2025). There is required uniform items for both ASU and AGSU. Since they are phasing out the ASU and will make the AGSU required by October 2027, should I disregard the ASU items... or should I purchase them now?

It lists everything from belt, gloves, shoes, socks, shirts, beret, name plate, neck tab, jacket, shirts, slacks, all weather coat.

Thanks!

Transportation from Ft Sill to Benning

It seems as though answers to this vary by base and throughout the years so I am looking for recent and specific information about transportation from BCT at Ft Sill to OCS at Ft Benning. Ft. Sill has a family day on Thursday with graduation on Friday. Seems like the military transports you on Friday to Ft Benning. Is there an option to transport yourself to OCS either by plane or car. I thought this might afford me a little extra time with my family and give me an opportunity to get anything missing from my packing list.

New Cyber Test

My recruiter informed me that there is a new cyber test that is mandatory to be completed PRIOR to signing my 09S contract. He said it should take 15 minutes and might be about 30 questions. Does anyone have any more information about this test? Do the results have any weight when determining if you get to sign your contract or how you branch at OCS? What types of questions are asked and what is the best way to study and prepare?

Question about leave during OCS

I am waiting (impatiently) for the June board results and am just trying to prepare myself mentally for certain possibilities. My oldest daughter will be graduating college and commissioning into the Air Force in early May next year. I am a civilian applicant so if selected I will have to attend BCT before OCS. I would definitely have my BCT portion completed prior to May, but there is a possibility I may be in OCS or my BOLC when my daughter commissions. This is typically held on a Friday evening and is close to Cleveland Airport for quick transportation. What is the likelihood that they may let me leave for a day or 2 to attend the commissioning ceremony? I know nothing is guaranteed, but I have also heard of people leaving for the birth of a child or a funeral. I am able to be a peace with missing it if I have to, but I obviously would rather be there! I had my daughter when I was in high school and we have grown up together and gone through a lot together. I am so proud of her!
