Weird question, but I'm curious what a demigod's blood type would be [pjo]

Demigod or not, I don't see how a mortal parent wouldn't take their child for a check-up to the doctor [unless they were neglectful]. I'm not sure if EVERY doctor does this, but sometimes my doctor takes my blood to test it, and it is necessary for the medical records to have a file of the person's blood type.

One of the ways to know you're related to your parent is through blood type. For example, parents with AB and O can only have kids that will either have blood type A or B. (Not an expert on blood types, just got it off Google.)

Here's where my curiosity comes in. Gods don't have DNA, which is why incest for them is no big deal. And seeing as they most likely don't need blood transfusions, they either don't know their blood type or don't have a blood type.

Demigods, on the other hand, will need blood transfusions if they ever end up at the hospital as they're mostly mortals. Yes, the doctors could give them O- as, as far as I'm aware, that blood type works on everyone, but what if the hospital the demigod is at doesn't have that blood type?

There are the rare blood types, but I feel like that wouldn't be the demigod's blood type. The government would become highly suspicious that all these kids, with no relation to each other, have the same rare blood type.

I guess the demigod would get the mortal parent's blood type. Still, I feel like their god side would do something to whatever test doctor's take to determine blood type.

Which brings me to my question: What would a demigod's blood type be?

Serious Question

While reading Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, I got to the part where Filch is excited that Umbridge allowed him to use whips on the students when they misbehave.

All I have to ask is: He does realize that most of the students have probably guessed that he can't do magic -- maybe they know he's a Squib, maybe they don't -- which means if he tries to whip them, they could just jinx or hex him and he wouldn't be able to do anything about it. Him or his cat, doesn't matter.

I mean, they all know he likes to threaten them with corporal punishment, lamenting how he can't use those methods but keeps the chains in his office nice and shiny "just in case". Some of the students have to have wondered why he never threatened to jinx/curse them. Then would ask themselves if they've ever seen him with a wand. Snowball effect ensues, most, or all, realize or guess that Filch can't do magic.

I know he doesn't whip anyone, but, like, he had to have thought that, right? Especially when, with the Inquisitorial Squad(all Slytherins) docking Ravenclaw, Gryffindor, and Hufflepuff House points, the Inter-House Championship isn't worth winning when the point system is completely leaning towards letting Slytherin win. The students most likely won't care about their actions that'll make them lose points. Why would they care when, evidently with Harry and Hermione, they could get docked for just not being liked by the Slytherins or for being a Muggle-born?

Serious question. Filch HAS to have realized this at some point that whipping them would be entirely useless when they could get back at him in worser ways.
