Lupe Dissed the Iceman?! 🥶😮 - CliqueBang
The title is clickbait, but before Iceman dropped Lupe posted on his Instagram story the words “Lake Como”, was rumored to be a song that would appear on Iceman. We were hoping for a Lupe feature! But the track didn’t appear on any of Drake’s three albums released that night.
Earlier this week Lupe put out CliqueBang on YouTube, a light freestyle over the instrumental from the Iceman song “Shabang”, where Lupe has some fun addressing online critics who complained about videos of his crowd work on the F&L tour.
On CliqueBang Lupe says, “Where is the boat? The Lake. Where is that song? It’s great.” He also adopts Drake’s flow throughout the track and uses the most basic rhyme scheme you’ll ever hear from Lupe. I think he’s asking where “Lake Como” is and, maybe in part, poking fun at Drake’s flow and technique. It’s easy for me to imagine that record getting tossed aside for an inability to keep up with Lupe.
