LFT's faded striping & markings are a genuine hazard. Chi Parks, can we get a repaint STAT?

I rode the north side stretch of the Lakefront Trail this weekend, and the lane stripes and markings are worn way past useful & safe in many spots – including where the bike and ped/running paths merge or cross.

See the pics for four trouble spots near Belmont Harbor and Oak St Beach (Apple Maps has these recent aerials, but all four spots are worse since). Much of the north trails could use a full restriping, but hotspots like these are urgent.

Without visible lines, sometimes it's guesswork where to be, especially for visitors or newbies. The way bikes sometimes belong in between running lanes, sometimes side-by-side, etc... it's not easy if you're not a regular. I use LFT often and see confusion and near-collisions frequently due to the faded paint.

Chicago Park District maintains the LFT – hoping this helps push a repaint quickly. Beach sand & winter weather surely make the paint fade faster than other areas, so thanks in advance to CPD for tackling this before it gets worse..!
