Atrioc fundamentally misunderstood 007 First Light
Despite knowing very well that this wasn't going to be a Hitman game he essentially tried to treat this game like Hitman and when that failed, he brute forced his way through the campaign despite not enjoying it all that much all while he
- ignored every tutorial
- got mad at the game design every single time there was handholding
- still got stuck when there was an obstacle or puzzle that did not do handholding
- got mad at optional dialogues for making the game longer than it needed to be
- the optional convos give you opportunity hints like in Hitman, but you don't even need these hints to progress past this section
- it also adds optional worldbuilding inside the story game
- actively refused to engage with most of the game's mechanics
- Barely ever hacked anything
- rarely attempted stealth, despite knowing that's IOI's strong suit
- rarely used any of the gadgets or hacks
- didn't shoot guns for the jokes
- found an exploit in the game, then used that single exploit as the ONLY way to get past combat encounters, on his first and only playthrough
Atrioc is the reason I got into Hitman so I was pretty excited to watch his playthrough of this game but obv I stopped watching after I got annoyed with all of the stuff I stated above, but to see him finish it and criticize the gameplay is really odd considering how he purposefully avoided every mechanic and tool. Anyways I get that it's not all that deep and I rarely ever comment or post on things online but this one just annoyed me and wanted to share my thoughts and see if I'm alone on this or not
